I began with one of the best piano teachers available for beginners, Marjorie Haimbach. Marjorie was very ambitious for her students and she knew how to motivate young students.
With her preparation, I was able to perform a debut piano recital in NYC when I was 14. From this experience, I entered music school at the Eastman School of Music. I studied with some great pianists and went on to get a Masters degree in music at the University of Notre Dame.
At Notre Dame, I met my first wife, a fabulous cellist, and we began performing together. At the same time, I found myself fascinated with the new introduction of home computers. I found a book on the subject and learned how to build a computer from scratch.
This is the computer I built. From doing this, my wife convinced me to return to school and get a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Over the years I have been able to maintain the career in engineering and also continue performing. After I moved to Allentown, I was very lucky to acquire the position of pianist for the Allentown Symphony. I have played with them for over 20 years.
I have been very active with chamber music as well as solo performances. I formed the Lyra Trio to present “The Quartet for the End of Time” by Olivier Messian. The symphony also performs chamber music concerts.
My second wife, Myra, played the piano also. We started playing four-hand music together. This was the inspiration for “Piano Times Two!”. We discovered many pieces we could play together that were truly beautiful. I’m very happy to be able to continue this music by recording her part into the computer.
Currently I am performing solo concerts, chamber music, and symphony concerts. I also combine my engineering background with software development I do which is related to music. Since my second wife passed away, I have been working with virtualpianist.com and virtualbookingagent.com to help promote these concerts and related ideas.

I received my masters degree in electrical engineering from the University of Houston. After graduation, I started working at AT&T Bell Labs.
At Bell Labs I worked on Digital Signal Processing, Analog circuit simulation, analog circuit design, and software development. I received a number of patents in my engineering career
